GolfMatchPlay was founded by the serial Entrepreneur, Claes Settergren, with the aim of providing exciting business and networking opportunities to golfers worldwide. Mr Settergren strongly believes that in the modern business environment networking serves as a real “door-opener” and is vital in building, fostering and maintaining strong relationships, and the golf course can be a great environment to allow this to happen. It’s a way of building strong relationships based on a shared sense of camaraderie and fun.
The current international network for golfers is the latest reincarnation of the GolfPlayers Club that was enormously popular in the early 2000s. The Golf Players Club was one of the largest Match Play golf clubs on the Internet, with 6.500 members and 20.000 matches played. Internet World Magazine awarded the site with 10 out of 10 possible points, the highest rating that year.
Since the project’s relaunch in 2015, the GolfMatchPlay’s community counts more than 2600 Members from around the world, namely from Sweden, Norway, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Spain, Germany, the UAE, India, Czech Republic, Poland, Italy, the USA, the UK, etc.
